摘要
We have measured the thermoelectric power, S (T), of Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8 single crystal in the a-b and c directions, both are positive up to the transition temperature (Tc = 73 K). At high temperature Sc(T) is approximately constant and positive, while S a-b(T) has a negative sign at high temperature, changing sign at around 205 K, it continues increasing until the onset of the transition, and decreases to zero in Tc. A maximum of S a-b(T) is found close to the transition temperature with a value of S a-b(90 K) = 2.75 μV/K. Whereas in the c direction Sc(T) = 1.3 μV/K. © 1990, Elsevier Science Publishers B.V.
