摘要
In this article, Tim Crow reviews the evidence that neuroleptic drugs exert their antipsychotic effects by blocking dopamine receptors. The results of a recent clinical study are entirely consistent with this theory and eliminate some other possibilities. Does this tell us anything about the disease process? Post-mortem neurochemical studies rule out a disturbance in the dopamine neurone itself, but focus sharply upon the state of the postsynaptic dopamine receptor. © 1979.
