摘要
A synthetic pentasaccharide, L-Fuc(alpha-1-2)D-Gal(beta-1-2)D-Xyl(alpha-1-6)D-Glc(beta-1-4)D-Glc, has been found to suppress the fusicoccin(FC)-stimulated elongation of isolated pumpkin cotyledons but not to affect their growth induced by 6-benzylaminopurine (6-BAP). The effect of the pentasaccharide was most pronounced at 10(-8) M. Administration of the pentasaccharide into the nutrient medium for culturing wheat immature embryos in vitro resulted in induction of rhizogenesis and markedly stimulated the formation of callus and meristematic zones.
