EVIDENCE FOR THE SUPERCONDUCTING GAP FROM INFRARED REFLECTION AND PHONON ANOMALIES IN SUBSTITUTED YBACUO

摘要
We report experimental results from IR-reflectivity between 4.2 K and 300 K for substituted 123-ceramics with different T, and different approach to the dirty-limit condition. The results show a scaling of the reflectivity increase with T, and with approaching the dirty limit on cooling through T,. Phonon hardening and softening at T, agreed with theoretical predictions if a symmetry-dependent response to the gap is assumed. The BCS-ratio for the caxis gap is deduced to be 1.7&TC. © 1990 IOP Publishing Ltd.
