摘要
Electrochemical properties of pitch coke and pitch based carbon fiber were investigated in order to find the relation between structures of carbons and performances as an negative electrode of lithium rechargeable batteries. The specific capacities vary according to the graphitization and there were two possibilities to obtain high specific capacity. One way is to use highly graphitized carbons, and another is to use carbons of disordered structures. Texture of carbons was found to affect coulombic efficiency, especially in high graphitized region. And both high capacity and high coulombic efficiency were obtained by using carbon fiber heat treated at 2900 degrees C, which has radial structure.
