摘要
Calibrated isotopes emitting only one gamma-ray are the ideal sources for the efficiency calibration of the in-well position of NaI(Tl) detectors. This kind of isotopes are hardly available for energies above 835 keV. Equations that are used for the sum peak calibration method for radionuclides can also be used for the efficiency calibration up to 1800 keV with uncalibrated isotopes that emit two gamma-rays in coincidence (46Sc, 60Co, 88Y). With 24Na the calibration can be extended to 2735 keV. Uncalibrated β+-emitters (18F) can be used to obtain a calibration value at 511 keV. © 1979.
