摘要：

The structure of Nuclepore filters differs greatly from that of all other filter materials, and the filtration properties differ correspondingly. The filter has been evaluated in a variety of applications; its properties suggest new uses. In some applications the Nuclepore is superior, in others inferior, to other filters; on the whole, the new material is complementary to membrane filters. It is especially suited for collecting samples for light and electron microscopy, short-term gravimetric sampling, and a new approach to particle size determination. It has advantages for use in tape samplers of the AISI type. It is inferior to membrane filters in total retentivity. © 1969, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
