摘要
The kinetics of the photochemically initiated radical chain condensation reaction between tetrachloroethylene and n-pentane, resulting in the formation of pentyltrichloroethylene and HCl have been studied at 25βdg. The absolute rate constant for the rate-determining step, the addition of pentyl radicals to tetrachloroethylene, is estimated as 6.6 X 102 M−1 sec−1, by combining rate constant ratios from kinetics with alkyl radical combination data. © 1968, American Chemical Society.
