ASPARAGUS DECLINE AND REPLANT PROBLEM IN NEW-ZEALAND

摘要
The common disorder involving the decline of commercial asparagus plantings, and the involvement of Fusarium infections with the disorder, are outlined. The symptoms associated with F. oxysporum and F. moniliforme infections of Asparagus officinalis are described. The replant problem of asparagus is discussed and the potential for autotoxins and Fusarium infections to cause the problem are examined as are other possible factors such as herbicide residues, Phytophthora infections, and soil structural problems. Possibilities for overcoming the replant problem and directions for further research into this disorder are explored.
