INFLUENCE OF SIZE AND DENSITY OF PARTICLES ON SOME FUNDAMENTAL HYDRODYNAMIC PARAMETERS USEFUL IN FLUIDIZATION

摘要
This article presents a study of the influence of the particle size and density on some fundamental hydrodynamic parameters useful in fluidization such as: minimum fluidization velocity, terminal velocity, elutriation rate and porosity in dilute zone. For each parameter some literature correlations are chosen and developed to demonstrate the moderate role of density compared to particle size. The consequences for a circulating bed using several solids at the same time are then drawn up and compared to experimental results and to some calculations using the correlations.
