ON THE B-STATE OF THE ICL MOLECULE - HYPERFINE-STRUCTURE AND HYPERFINE PREDISSOCIATION

摘要
The vibrational level upsilon' = 2 of the B state of ICl has been studied, using laser excitation and fluorescence detection on a molecular beam. The hyperfine structure of the lines have been measured and this data has refined the knowledge of the hyperfine constants of the B state. The relative intensities of the hyperfine components have revealed a hyperfine predissociation of these levels and the corresponding hyperfine predissociation parameter a(upsilon) has been measured. Finally, the B state predissociation is discussed in the light of this new information.
