摘要
Current-potential relationships are reported for PVC protective coatings which contain varying quantities of different ionic and non-ionic dopants. Increasing the ionic conductivity of the coatings results in a higher current flow under cathodic protection conditions. Ionic conductivity is not the only factor in determining the current level at a given overpotential; the rate constant of the oxygen reduction at the metal/polymer interface is also important. © 1990.
