ANOMALOUS ELECTROMAGNETIC EFFECTS IN THE MIXING OF PHOTONS WITH A NEUTRAL VECTOR FIELD

If photons are mixed with a long range vector field, with a non-zero anomalous magnetic moment, then the presence of a dielectric and of an external magnetic field can induce the production of longitudinal waves starting from transversely polarized electromagnetic radiation. The possible detection of this effect, in a laboratory experiment with laser beams, is discussed.
