摘要
The development and validation of a practical theory to describe the gas flow through multilayered porous structures is presented. The theory characterises multilayered structures of isotropic materials as equivalent single anisotropic materials. This formulation involves the modification of the vectorial Ergun equation and the definition of directional resistances which reflect the influences of the individual materials' physical properties, their relative proportions and the degree of inclination of the layers. The theory, which is computationally straightforward, accurately describes the flow through multilayered structures which are conventionally considered as numerically complex. © 1979.
