摘要
In taped interviews, 32 3rd grade teachers described 2 boys and 2 girls from their present classes. Ss described were those whom a teacher recalled 1st and last when asked to name her class from memory. The content of the 128 descriptions was analyzed for personal involvement. Boys received more such signs than girls, and their descriptions contained more negatively toned statements than those of girls. Ss salient in the teachers' minds also received more indications of involvements than nonsalient Ss. These findings were related to other research dealing with teachers' differential perception and treatment of their students.
