摘要
A technique is described for radio‐recording adult‐child conversations at home and at nursery school, with an observer present to record the context. It was found that the amount of adult‐child talk at school varied systematically over the four days, with the least amount of talk on the first day. At home there were no effects in the amount or kind of mother‐child talk due to either order of visits or time of day. Observer‐related behaviour was greatest in both settings on the first day.
