摘要
A strong field ionizer which employs electron impact ionization is described. A high efficiency is obtained using a hollow electron beam coaxial with the atomic beam and confined by a strong magnetic field. The general features of strong field ionization are discussed. Methods which may lead to an improved efficiency are mentioned briefly. © 1968.
