LYMPHATIC VESSELS IN PARENCHYMA OF HUMAN TESTIS

In the human testis a lymphatic network can be demonstrated by dye-injection. It's architecture resembles the lymphatics of larger mammalian testicles. The lymph capillaries originate within the intertubular spaces. Partially they surround the tubuli contorti and accompany the blood vessels. In the septula testis, they form small collecting stems. These vessels gather in the tunica albuginea and, partially, in the corpus Highmori, and form a dense collecting network at the periphery. This networks is drained by several larger vessels which accompany the internal spermatic artery and the plexus pampiniformis at it's periphery. © 1969 Springer-Verlag.
