A general solution to the problem of determining the t = 0 behaviour of the Regge residue functions, consistent with analyticity and factorization, is presented. This solution and certain analyticity requirements for individual helicity amplitudes are shown to lead to the group-theoretical classification of Regge trajectories. It is also shown that the presented solution satisfies the conspiracy relations for a large class of reactions containing all cases of present phenomenological interest. © 1969.
