摘要
Normal and reverse pulse voltammetry are employed at stationary silver microelectrodes to examine the anodization process in acid perchlorate, hydroxide, cyanide, and chloride media. The reversible anodic process in perchloric acid is used to establish conditions for which the multiple-pulse voltammetric response is the same as for a single (for normal pulse) or double (for reverse pulse) potential step. Reverse pulse voltammetry displays excellent sensitivity for detection of products of anodization. Especially in connection with a conditioning potential, the reverse pulse response can be used to study quantitatively the nature and reactivity of these products.
