摘要
In this paper equations for the gas flow patterns produced by a bubble in a finite two-dimensional fluidized bed are derived using Murray's linearized theory. Several features of these patterns are found to be in qualitative agreement with results for the same problem obtained from Davidson's theory, and for a certain approximate representation of a slug the predictions of the two theories are identical. They are in good agreement also when the geometrical representation of the slug is improved. © 1969.
