摘要
Ground-penetrating radar and electromagnetic terrain conductivity (EM) surveys were investigated as possible techniques for determining the presence and extent of groundwater contamination from leachate plumes emanating from animal waste lagoons. Preliminary data suggest that the electromagnetic technique offers the greater range of applicability. Data obtained from EM soundings of three different animal waste lagoons are used to illustrate the usefulness of this technique. © 1990 Springer-Verlag New York Inc.
