摘要
Previously unexplained MCD of MnNi pairs, in cubic KZnF3, is shown to arise from the interference between single-ion and exchange-induced (pair) transition electric dipole moments. In general, MCD may detect similar interference for spin-forbidden charge-transfer transitions in mononuclear metal-ion complexes as well as spin-forbidden ligand-field transitions in polynuclear complexes. © 1979.
