SOME RECENT RESULTS WITH A PHOTODIODE-ORGANIC SCINTILLATOR COMBINATION USED AS A DETECTOR FOR HIGH ENERGY CHARGED PARTICLES

摘要
The use of a new organic scintillator in conjunction with a silicon surface barrier photodiode as a detector for high energy charged particles is described. The best resolution obtained is 10.3% fwhm for 49.15 MeV protons. The scintillator decay time constant is shown to be approx. 15 ns. The potential for further development of the detector is examined. © 1969.
