摘要：

A new method for the automatic determination of dissolved organic carbon in sea water is described based upon the Technicon Autoanalyzer System. The organic carbon compounds are oxidized by means of ultra-violet radiation using potassium peroxidisulfate as a source of oxygen. The carbon dioxide formed by the oxidation of dissolved organic compounds is absorbed in diluted sodium hydroxide solution, the electrical conductivity change of the base is proportional to the amount of dissolved organic carbon. © 1969.
