摘要：

The synthesis of members of the iso-structural series TixZr(1-x)I3 (D33h-P63(mcm)), from the metals and their tetraiodides is described. Their crystal lattice parameters are found to lie on a smooth curve drawn between the end members TiI3 and ZrI3. The difficulty of retaining zirconium in the titanium-rich compound, and the resulting non-stoichiometry, is discussed in terms of the partial disproportionation of the compound. © 1969.
