摘要
Cracking reactions on HZSM-5 at 500°C have been studied for n-hexane, 2-methylpentane, 3-methylpentane and 2,3-dimethylbutane. A detailed examination of selectivity and kinetic phenomena is consistent with a cracking mechanism initiated via protonation of the paraffins at Brønsted sites. The study also reveals that previous conclusions based on the "α-test" and "constraint index" may need to be re-examined. © 1990.
