PICOSECOND FLUORESCENCE LIFETIMES IN 9-IODOANTHRACENE - THERMALLY ACTIVATED S1-]TN INTERSYSTEM CROSSING

摘要
Excitation of 9-iodoanthracene in cyclohexane with 354 nm, 8 ps fwhm laser pulses generates S1 → S0 fluorescence with a temperature dependent picosecond lifetime. The fluorescence lifetime is ≈68 ps at 23°C, and its temperature behavior is consistent with a Tn-S1 energy gap of 1260 ± 400 cm-1. © 1979.
