摘要
This article presents a new numerical procedure involving the use of orthogonal polynomials in a Rayleigh-Ritz procedure to investigate the wave propagation characteristics of uniform hollow conducting waveguides of polygonal cross section. As examples of the applicability of the new functions, the TM modes in metallic waveguides of rectangular and triangular cross sections have been studied. (C) 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
