1. EXPERIMENTAL RESULTS The technologically important Ag/Ge/Se glass has been studied by tin~-of-flight neutron diffraction. Neutron diffraction patterns were obtained at room temperature and at T = 10 K. Isotopic 107Ag with scattering length 0.7555 x 10-12 cm was substituted for the natural abundance of Ag isotopes with mean scattering length 0.5922 x 10-12 cm to identify the Ag correlations. The data were corrected for multiple scattarin9; sample absorption; and inelasticity effects; and normalizedI to obtain the structure factors for the natural Ag sample (Ag4Ge3Se9-Nat) and the isotopic 107Ag sample (Ag4Ge3Se9-1so). The measured structure factors at T = 10 K for Ag4Ge3Se9-Nat and GeSe2 are shown in Fig. i. The structure factor for glassy Ag4Ge3Se9 shows a remarkable decrease in the intensity of the First Sharp Diffraction Peak (FSDP) in comparison with glassy GeSe2 . This in turn *Work supported by the U. S.
