摘要
C-60 was reacted with AsF5 to form an interstitial compound. It is shown that the far infrared absorption at (704 +/- 2) cm(-1) is caused by AsF6- by comparing it to the spectrum of Hg-3(AsF6)(2). The F-19 nuclear magnetic resonance spectrum has a quartet which is similar to that of NaAsF6 and can be also attributed to AsF6-. This establishes that the compound is C-60(ASF(6))(X). X is 1.9 when the preparation is done with AsF5 dissolved in liquid SO2.
