摘要
Homologous omega-alkene carboxylic acid methyl esters have been hydroformylated using the water-soluble rhodiumcarbonyl/triphenylphosphine-m-trisulfonic acid sodium salt-catalyst in an aqueous-organic two-phase system. The homologous omega-alkene carboxylic acid esters possess a water solubility which allows hydroformylation reactions in the two-phase system up to omega-decene carboxylic acid methyl ester. Higher omega-alkene carboxylic acid esters which are water insoluble starting materials have been hydroformylated by addition of tensids in a micellar system. Cationic tensids are the best system for this hydroformylation. The cationic tensids have two effects. Firstly they cause the higher olefines to become soluble in aqueous media. Secondly, due to their positive charge, the concentration of the negatively charged rhodium complex ions is increased in the micelles.
