摘要
The catalytic and adsorptive behavior of carbon is discussed primarily from the point of view of the carbon substrate. The crystalline structure, electronic properties, surface chemistry, and microcrystalline physical structure of carbon are reviewed and related to the catalytic and adsorptive power of that element. Many specific examples of such uses of carbon are drawn from the chemical literature for discussion to illustrate the general ideas and relationships. © 1969, American Chemical Society.
