摘要
A method is described which yields the expectation value of an operator for an ensemble in a pure state and within which the initial and final quantum states are different. The treatment is given in the density matrix formalism and appears particularly useful for treating such time dependent problems as are encountered in non-linear phenomena. © 1969 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
