PRESSURE DEPENDENCE OF KNIGHT SHIFT IN V METAL

摘要
The pressure dependence of the Knight shift K in V metal is measured. The explicit temperature dependence of K is derived from a previously obtained K(T) at constant pressure and the present pressure-dependence data. Several methods of estimating the volume dependence of the d-band susceptibility d are discussed. Using the estimated value for dlnddlnv, the volume dependence of the orbital Knight shift K0 was derived. It is concluded that the volume dependence of r-3 plays an important role for the volume dependence of K0. © 1969 The American Physical Society.
