摘要
The salts of certain multivalent cations stabilize aqueous suspension of chrysotile asbestos. The conditions under which these salts are effective strongly suggest that suspension stability is due to the presence of positively charged hydrolysis products on the surfaces of the chrysotile fibers. Salt-stabilized suspensions are quite sensitive to pH, and there are pronounced specific anion effects. © 1968.
