摘要：

End seals of the high-pressure sodium lamps were significantly improved by introducing a silicon layer at the niobium metal cap and the frit interface. This resulted in elimination of lamp failures due tó seal leaks. Improvement in the seal also allowed development of a new generation of improved color high-pressure sodium lamps. © 1979 Illuminating Engineering Society.
