摘要
There are several possible explanations why different investigations come to different conclusions regarding the size dependence of fracture energy. In addition to the influence of experimental procedures such as support deformations, four possible parameters which are related to geometrical and testing effects and which may influence fracture energy have been investigated. Experimental techniques as well as finite element calculations have been used to explain the size dependence of fracture energy. © 1990.
