摘要
A driven screen sense amplifier for true impedance imaging applications is described. The amplifier uses a discrete front end to achieve a net input capacitance (including cable effects) of about 1 pF and an input resistance of about 100 M-OMEGA over a useful bandwidth of 100 kHz. The factors influencing stability are identified and options for their control are considered. The advantages offered by a well ordered cabling strategy in reducing both screen-to-screen parasitic capacitances and crosstalk are discussed in detail.
