摘要
This article describes an investigation of the phase transformation mechanisms in Zn-(5-35%)Al-(1-15%)Cu alloys during heat treatment, using high-temperature metallography and thermoelectrical methods. A phase transition is established in the temperature range 260-270-degrees-C, connected with the solid-phase reactions of the epsilon phase. The formation of unstable supersaturated monophase structures that cannot be retained by quenching is observed in the alloys containing (1-5%)Cu. Heat treatment can be used only for homogenizing and stabilizing the properties and microstructures of the Zn-(5-35%)Al-(1-15%)Cu alloys.
