A SIMPLE METHOD TO STABLY LOCK A DIODE-LASER FREQUENCY TO AN ATOMIC TRANSITION LINE FOR A LONG PERIOD

摘要
In performing our optically pumped cesium beam frequency standard we successfully locked a diode laser frequency to the cesium D2 line for more than 100 hours. The center frequency was locked within 100 kHz with a bias-saturated-absorption locking scheme. A digital auxiliary lock loop (DALL) was proposed and used in this experiment. Such a system is very helpful for all long period locking systems.
