ENERGY-TRANSFER FROM MN-2+ TO PR-3+ IN PHOSPHATE-GLASS

摘要
Energy transfer from optically excited divalent manganese to trivalent praseodymium in phosphate glass has been observed. Large values of transfer efficiencies and transfer probabilities suggest that Mn2+ can be a good sensitizer for Pr3+ in phosphate glass. The energy transfer mechanism is found to be mainly electric dipole-dipole in nature.
