摘要
The effect of pore diameter and acidity in the reaction of ethanol dehydration catalysed by different molecular sieves of zeolitic (HEU, FAU, LTL, MOR and MFI) and non-zeolitic (AFI) character is explored here with the aim to propose the process as a possible useful reaction for the evaluation of molecular sieve catalysts. With the help of the reaction the acid activity of the samples could be qualitatively evaluated. It is also possible to get information about the width of molecular sieves channels and cavities.
