摘要
Conventional techniques used to monitor aging-induced phase relationships in zirconia ceramics are shown to be limited as to the amount of information that can be obtained without sectioning the sample. Measurement of the microwave dielectric loss tangent of progressively aged Y-TZP samples is shown to be a suitable technique to monitor the growth of the transformed monoclinic layer with time.
