摘要
Surface diffusion in a monomolecular myristic acid film on a water substrate is studied using radioactive tracers. The results obtained are presented in terms of a surface diffusion coefficient, D8, employing a two-dimensional form of Fick's law. The results are discussed in terms of the structure of the monolayer, and the values of D8 obtained are compared with those predicted by several molecular models. © 1969, American Chemical Society.
