Opacity analysis of inelastic molecular collisions exponential approximations

摘要
An extension of the range of applicability of the Born and distorted wave Born scattering matrices is made using an exponential approximation. Computational results for vibrational and rotational excitation are presented. The present techniques bridge the gap between the weak coughing and the dominant coupling regimes in the opacity function.
