A procedure for extraction, purification and quantification by reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) — enzyme immunoassay (EIA) was developed which allowed the specific and reliable determination of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) contents in tissue and protoplasts of protonema of the moss Funaria hygrometrica Hedw.
