摘要
KrF laser irradiation of a sulfur surface in the presence of ethylene vapor has yielded ethylene episulfide: a non-thermal laser-induced heterogeneous reaction. The yield depends upon incident intensity to the 3.5 power; it increases linearly with ethylene pressure below 20 torr and falls off inversely with total pressure above 200 torr. Possible mechanisms are discussed. © 1979.
