摘要
Vinyl ester reinforced composites have been widely used as structural materials. The composites can be cured in ambient conditions but with severe shrinkages. Larger structures are usually assembled and joined from smaller parts where shrinkage is less and this results in longer manufacturing lead time and higher production costs. Ku et al. (2002a; 2002b; 2003a; 2003b) cured the composites under microwave conditions and found that the shrinkage of the resins had been reduced. This research, together with the previous one, confirms the optimum conditions for curing of vinyl ester reinforced composites under microwaves.
