摘要
1. Inorganic ions and primary amines are leaked from anhydrobiotic and quick‐dried nematodes, Aphelenchus avenae, when they are plunged from dry air into water. 2. Anhydrobiotic nematodes leak about one‐third as fast as quick‐dried ones. 3. When the water content is increased above about 20% by exposing the animals to moist air before immersing them in water, the leakage rate in both anhydrobiotic and quick‐dried worms is diminished. 4. The rate of leakage is inversely correlated with the glycerol contents of the worms at the time they are placed in water. Copyright © 1979 Wiley‐Liss, Inc., A Wiley Company
